one of our favorite Mackinac Island Restaurants.

Marcia’s mother highly recommends the Cherry Cobb Salad. It is her Island favorite!

  • Millie’s On Main
    Millie’s serves lunch
    and dinner and has a full bar. It has an old-fashioned pub atmosphere
    with comfortable booths and tables– some with a window view of Main
    Street. Be sure to ask your server the identity of Millie!
  • Pink Pony at the Chippewa
    The Pink Pony is located in the Chippewa Hotel and is “world famous”
    as a gathering place for Yacht Race sailors. There is plenty of
    seating inside that extends to their outdoor deck overlooking the
    harbor. Marcia’s Aunt Pat says, “In my expert opinion, the best
    hamburger on Mackinac Island is at The Chippewa Hotel.”
  • Horns Bar
    Located on Main Street,
    Horn’s specializes in southwestern and American fare and has live
    entertainment most evenings. Although it is a bar, it is suitable for
    families during the day and early evening. Good sliders!
  • Patrick Sinclair’s Irish Pub
    entertainment from Irish bands to Karaoke and DJ’s make the Irish Pub a
    lively place to enjoy a meal. It is a family style Mackinac Island
    restaurant complete with a children’s menu. You will find The Irish Pub
    on Main Street.
  • The Carriage House at the Iroquois
    The Carriage House, at the Hotel Iroquois, has a fabulous waterfront
    location where you can dine inside or on one of the verandas. There is
    entertainment nightly at the piano bar.
  • Mustang
    You will find the Mustang just
    off Main Street. The only Upper-Peninsula-style Bar/Restaurant on the
    Island, it is the perfect place to enjoy great bar food and rub elbows
    with summer residents and Island workers alike. This Mackinac Island
    restaurant stays open year round.
  • Yankee Rebel
    The Yankee Rebel serves food
    comparable to the nicer hotel restaurants. Ask for a table by the
    fireplace to warm up on a cold day.
  • Mary’s Bistro
    Mary’s Bistro is located on
    Main Street at the west end of town. It has a unique menu including
    delicious sweet potato fries. There is an outside patio with a harbor
    view. It is fun to sit there and watch the Island visitors come and go
    from the ferry dock while relaxing with a drink and a good meal or

    The Village Inn is a long
    time favorite Mackinac Island restaurant. Located just off Main Street
    on Hoban Street, it specializes in Plank Whitefish. The hamburgers are
    also on the favorite list.
  • Grand Hotel, Main Dining Room
    The beautiful Grand Hotel serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the
    Main Dining Room which overlooks their porch, known as the longest in
    the world.
  • 1852 Grill Room
    The Grill Room overlooking the Straits of Mackinac is the perfect
    place for a gourmet dinner. It serves a full breakfast daily and lunch
    on the Terrace, weather permitting. It is located at the Island House
  • Gate House
    You will find the Gate House
    just below the Grand Hotel. It has a beautiful huge natural stone
    fireplace. Lunch, dinner, cocktails are served inside or on the deck,
    alfresco. You will enjoy Grand Hotel service in a casual atmosphere at
    this Mackinac Island restaurant.
  • Fort Tea Room
    Stop at the Tea Room when you are touring Fort Mackinac for a
    delicious lunch and a fabulous view of the Straits of Mackinac. This
    restaurant choice will require a ticket to enter the fort.
  • The Jockey Club
    The Jockey Club at the Grand Stand overlooks the first tee of the
    Jewel Golf Course and serves lunch and dinner. Reservations are
    required for dinner.
  • Woods
    This is an offsite Grand Hotel restaurant with the charm of an
    Alpine chalet. It is open for dinner from 5:00pm -10:00pm.
    Reservations are required. Be sure to try your hand at bowling while
    you are there. It is the oldest operating duckpin bowling alley in the
    United States.
  • The Cudahy Chophouse
    This beautiful restaurant is located at The Inn at Stonecliffe. It
    is in the Stonecliffe mansion which was originally a summer cottage
    built in 1904. This is the perfect setting for a very special dinner.
  • Cannonball
    Stop at the Cannonball located at British Landing when you ride around the Island. They specialize in deep fried pickles!
  • The Pancake House
    The Pancake House is a great place for breakfast or lunch. Not fancy, just good food. They have ice cream too!
  • J.L. Beanery
    This local waterfront coffee
    house can be found on the east side of the Marina. They serve
    wonderful baked goods as well as great coffee. Local residents often
    meet there to start their day with coffee and friends!
  • Goodfellow’s at the Lake View Hotel
    Goodfellow’s Italian Chop House is open for breakfast, lunch and
    dinner. Part of the Lake View Hotel, they serve on the covered porch on
    Main Street as well as in their main dining room and the lounge, Wings
    and Things.
  • Island Slice Pizzeria
    They offer
    Take-Out, Delivery, or Dine-In. Their menu includes pizza, subs, salads,
    calzones and wings. Its Main Street location is close to Marquette
    Park where you can sit and enjoy your meal.
  • Mighty Mac Hamburgers
    Good selection of hamburgers cooked to order with many topping choices. It’s always crowded so that says a lot!
  • Chuck Wagon
    The Chuck Wagon is a
    traditional diner-style spot serving breakfast and lunch. They serve
    great pancakes! You will find this Mackinac Island restaurant on Main
  • Bistro on the Greens
    The view of the Straits of Mackinac is outstanding from this dining
    venue at the Putt-Putt Golf course at Mission Point Resort. They
    provide live music nightly, weather permitting. The outdoor fireplace
    is very cozy!
  • Martha’s Sweet Shop
    Martha’s Sweet Shop
    serves lunch and dinner featuring pizza, fajitas and an array of subs.
    They are known for their great cinnamon rolls. Yummy!

for a taxi (906-847-3323) as soon as you make your dinner reservation if

Restaurant staff will call for your return taxi at the end of
your evening. Also, keep in mind that tips are included in the check if
you are dining at the Grand Hotel.
